Keep Watermelon Fresh Longer

Who doesn’t like fresh watermelon, but it won’t stay fresh for long if you just put it in a bowl in the fridge. Try this easy hack to keep it days longer.

If you don’t recognize this it’s a vegetable steamer. When used in a pot, it keeps your veggies out of the water while you steam them.  They usually come in 9 and 11 inch. That’s the size when they are open.

When used in a bowl it lets the fruit juices stay separate from the fruit.

This works well with cantaloupe as well as watermelon. Store in the fridge with a lid.
