The good news is that despite the ad, the product works and the written instructions it comes with are better. It is not really that hard to figure out. There are different modes depending upon how you wish to use it, we picked the full on mode all the time, knowing this would deplete the battery and it lasted over 2 month. Pretty impressive just using CR2032 batteries. You can also set to manual mode where by you have to hit the remote prior to starting the engine. There is also a 3rd mode called Anti-Hijacking mode where the engine will start but must receive a signal within 1 minute or else it will turn off. If a low battery, a light on the remote will flash red every 3 seconds to let you know to replace.

A.begin the engine for the first time: the unit begin scanning the sensor ID password, which matches within 25 seconds, The car can be driven off successfully. If not successful, the fuel circuit will be cut off after 25 seconds, and the engine will stop.
B.begin the engine for the 2nd time: the unit shortens the scanning time to 20 seconds.
C.begin the engine for the 3rd time: the unit shortens the scanning time to 10 seconds.
D.begin the engine for the 4th time: Unit can not scan correct password that it was started illegally.No matter how many times it is started, the unit can sense the correct password before driving the car.
E.In the hidden-lock mode, the driving no longer scans the sensor ID,and the sensor needs to be sensed again after turning off.
F.In the anti-hijacking mode, the unit will begin normally after receiving the correct signal after starting the engine. If it does not receive the correct signal from the remote control within 1 minute, it will turn off. Receive signals while driving.
