Wii2HDMI Converter review
This is how you add HDMI to your Wii. I purchased mine from “TOP-TECH” on Aliexpress. So far it’s just not working. Here’s a video I created for there tech support showing that I plugged it in and never got any video.

After contacting “TOP-TECH” they requested that I send them a video of the problem. In fact the form you have to fill out on Aliexpress must include an attachment so I attached an image of the blank TV screen. The problem is no video so I didn’t think they would need more than that.
Well, there reply was to send a video of the problem so I filmed a short video with my phone showing the tv on and working with a fire stick, me unplugging the video and plugging into my Wii with the adapter plugged in and then turning on the Wii and showing the lack of video. What resulted was a 500+ meg video which I could not send due to its size. So after cutting it down and compressing I got it to 240meg so I put it on a public Dropbox location and sent in a link. They replied that they could not open it.
Next up I just posted here on our website and provided this link. After a day or so I received an email from AliExpress saying my dispute had been denied due to lack of video evidence. A link was provided for me to do a survey about my experience.
But it’s not over. In the AliExpress message center, where I had been corresponding with “TOP-TECH” they offered to PayPal me a refund if I provide my PayPal address and drop the dispute.
So we will see, but it looks like this one was a dud. I will update again. Once I have a final resolution and pickup some kind of a replacement.
4/29/2022 Update. I received a message from the vendor “TOP-TECH” saying that the dispute was closed – they never issued a refund. So I would recommend staying away from this company.
3/15/24 – I purchased another one and it worked fine – it did actually improve the quality too. I did not get from the same vendor. So these do in fact work if you get a good one.
